Reminds me of getting up early to catch the hash browns, bacon strips at the dining hall, but first having to walk in a ray of cool sunshine through the earthly, redwoody campus of UC-Santa Cruz.
This song came out when I was up at UC-Santa Cruz, and I remember watching it on TV at a Super Bowl or some type of NFL function.
I didn't know love was a "game", really at the time. I tend to associate "game" with tugs, pulls between opponents. Now I wonder if this concept of "love as a game" affects some people's relationships.
I think of an unflinching, striking sunrise and getting up early.
